I was recently invited to another breast cancer awareness event and this time it was held in Bangsar hosted by XIXILI. The Pink Ribbon month of October is the month where we all should play our part and encourage women of all ages to practice Breast Self-Examination (BSE) once a month. Women need to be informed and aware that early detection saves lives!


This event is not just about showing off XIXILI's new October/November lingerie line but also for us to listen on a Breast Cancer Awareness Talk given by Dr Azlina who specialize in this area. It was a real intriguing presentation and as a 22 year-old woman, it's time for me to start caring of my own body before it is too late. 


We were also gratetful to have 2 Breast Cancer survivors from PRIDE to share with us on their journey fighting this cancer. PRIDE Foundation Malaysia is a charity body that aims to enhance awareness efforts and to improve the accessibility of treatment of breast cancer. 



After much talk on Cancer, we have a little fashion show put together by XIXILI and these are a few of their new line.

2014 has been a year of change. So many things had happened, big, small, good and bad, all I can say is that I am thankful. Or to be exact, I choose to be thankful because some things are out of our control.  I thank God for the great things that happened in my life, things such as getting a job that allows me to travel and experience different cultures, having the opportunity to do what I love which is writing and blogging, and to meet new people as well as reunited with friends that I've not seen for a really long time. I also thank God for the unpleasant moments and experiences because they are priceless, a lesson learnt for me to prepare for my future self. Not only making me stronger and more mature, but it also taught me about humility and the gift of silence.
