Maybelline the ROCKET Volum' Express Mascara [Review + Giveaway]

Want sky-high lashes? You should try this. The over-hyped Maybelline Rocket Mascara, where it seems to be doing a great job in giving us those fabulous long lashes. 


After trying it for a long period of time, it's definitely my go to mascara for quick and easy eye-opening lashes. It separates the lashes wonderfully and lengthens them simultaneously. 

There're some saying that this clumps their lashes. Well, the trick to this is to not wiggle the wand left to right like how we do for every other mascara. Just sweep upwards, from roots to the ends a few times. You may coat them multiple times, and with this technique, you shouldn't get any clumps. 

We need to get this straight that this mascara is not meant to give you the full look, it's made to help you achieve longer lashes.

The brush is huge, which I'm not a hug fan of because I dread when it comes to coating my lower lashes. However, I do find the tiny but dense plastic bristles works well in separating those lashes. If you can see at the bottom picture, it fans out my thin lashes perfectly. 


Removal is as easy as a pie. I love that this mascara is formulated to be removed in pieces or flakes. Traditional mascara will melt and create a big black patches mess on your face during removal. There was a saying that in long term, those mascaras that make you look like you have panda eyes will permanently stain your skin if it's not properly removed.  

This is not water-proof, thus some experienced this mascara to transfer to the under eye after long hours but I don't have this problem and I can easily remove this with a non-oil-based remover or just plain face remover.
