Gelsmart | New Solution to Moisturize Skin [Review]
Kick dry and dull skin away with this new innovation!
Who knew a simple cloth with gel inner lining will do the trick.
When Gelsmart Malaysia approached me, I cringed and questioned a whole lot of things. I almost wanted to reject this review opportunity because my faith in it wasn't great because my thoughts was exactly "What the hell is this?". Thank God I did my researched on the products and watched a couple Taiwan youtube review ( regarding this cool new product which I will link here and here. My mandarin is half-pass-six, thus I relied heavily on visuals and their body language in the videos. Lols.
Luckily the person liaised with me, Tarry was really nice and patient with me on my selection of products for they have wide range of Gelsmart's Beauty Moisturizing Series to choose from. They have 2 collections, Ceramides in Pastel Orange and Lavender in Pastel Purple. They are the same except that Lavender is the newer version infused with Lavender scent and it last even if you leave the products out in the open. Super cool.
Gelsmart comes with a healing therapeutic aloe vera gel lining that contains 7 essential oils that pampers your skin while you wear them. They claim to help:
- Moisturize, condition and soften rough skin
- Reduce roughness, cracking and drynes
- Rejuvenate skin cells
The 7 botanical oils are:
- Avocado
- Olive
- Mineral
- Jojoba
- Grape Seed
- Canola
- Soybean
The difference in ingredient between Ceramides and Lavender:
- Ceramides - Green Tea, Willow.
- Lavender - Lavender
What I really love about these products are their amazingly soft outer lining. If it was a blanket, I can totally see myself being wrapped in it like a cocoon. It's that comfortable and nice to touch. The cloths are made of microfiber feather yarns that does not generate static electricity and hair balls.
I personally feel that it can be long lasting but should due for a change after probably about 1 year because I feel every product has it's expiry, the gel in there won't work as well as it's suppose to be after a long period of time. It's just nature. Please don't use on open wound or abraded skin.

This is the one that shows the most difference through our naked eye. If I were to recommend one product out of all that they have, I will say get this in lavender. Not only it smells good but you can really see your skin being moisturized with lines reduced instantly.
Specially for the gloves, they recommend mini massage during application to help improve blood circulation. However, method of using is the same for every Gelsmart.
- Wash and dry the skin thoroughly and put on Gelsmart gently.
- Wear 2-3 times per week for approximately 20-30 minutes.
- You should feel warmth.
- If you love using them, please make sure your skin have at least 3-4 hours a day to breathe.
- Optimal results, replace product after 50 treatments.
- May be used with moisturizing cream for a more intensive treatment.
Unfortunately, my camera don't do justice on the obvious difference that you see in person. Try and look closely on the lines, smoothness and fairness of my hands. Sorry if it's like a spot the difference contest. I didn't photoshop my hands, really.

Care for Gelsmart:
- Handwash in lukewarm water with mild soap
- Don't bleach or iron
- Air dry before reuse
- Sprinkle with talcum powder if gel becomes tacky
- Store in cool place when not in use
