YongPyong Resort - Dragon Peak \\ Goblin K-Drama Shooting Location \\ What To Do In Gangwon Province?

YongPyong Resort is the largest ski resort in South Korea and similarly to Phoenix Ski Park, this place will be hosting a few sporting events for the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics. But seriously, even if you don't ski, the Dragon Peak is one place you should really slot into your MUST VISIT list!

Upon reaching YongPyong Resort, you'll have to take a gondola up to the peak of Mt. Balwangsan (13th highest mountain in South Korea), which is also the Dragon's Peak where it has a Swiss style building that houses coffee shops and restaurants, and a beautiful sky garden for public to enjoy.

This is a famous shooting location for those oldies who watches K-drama Winter Sonata and newbies who watches K-Drama Goblin in episode 9.

Even if you are not a K-Drama fan or into skiing, I still highly recommend visiting this place. The breathtaking view will make it all worth it. The sky garden is quite a huge area, thus, you might want to give yourself more time to enjoy at the Dragon Peak and also wear proper Winter attire if you are checking the place out during those cold months. When I was there, the wind was almost unbearable that I had to quickly take my shots and run back into the building to keep warm. Plus, I had a really short time to enjoy the place, I wished I had more time to walk around the area.
