Phoenix Park Ski Resort Hotel Review \\ Where To Stay In Gangwon Province?

The Pheonix Park Ski Resort is pretty known around the world as it has been showcased in K-Dramas such as Autumn In My Heart as well as being a famous ski park for locals and international visitors. This place is also prepped to host a few sporting events for the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics.

They have choices of hotel room and condominiums, I stayed one night in a Duluxe Triple Hotel room with the privileged for the ski park view. Overall, they have a vintage feel, probably due to how long this hotel have been around. I mean, just look at the TV. Though, it's still rather comfortable. I didn't had any trouble sleeping in. Besides, the night view of the park is quite magnificient. Even up to 2am, you'll still hear people skiing.

They served the basic necessities and everything is clean and tidy. The bed is a little stiff but I know some people do prefer that, it's not uncomfortable, it's just a little stiff. Decent amount of storage space and a pretty small bathroom but hey, they have bathtub installed!

Besides that, they somehow added an additional sliding door to separate the sleeping area and the entrance of the room. Not quite sure what for but oh well, as long as the floor heater, hot water, and wifi works, I'm happy.

I think this hotel is great for people who actually will spend time at the ski park. It has the common facilities such as swimming pool and etc, but surrounding the hotel, all within walking distance, they have a decent amount of shops, entertainment, and even restaurants. Making everything really convenient.

As for breakfast, there's really nothing to rave about. It's not lavish, just some simple Korean dishes and some typical sausage and dumplings. One thing I notice is that they do serve pork in the dining area, which they do label, so if you are a Muslim, you might want to keep your eyes open on what you take on your plate.
