Marshall's Burger [Review]

Oh my new love, my sweet, sweet pork burger. I'll forever come back for you. For a girl who constantly tries to be on a diet, other than Bak Kut Teh, Marshall's pork burger is the next sinful bite she can never resist.

Originated from Penang, you can now find two Marshall's restaurant in Klang Valley. This one I've tried is at Subang Jaya SS15 while the other one is in Uptown Damansara. If you are wondering, they have four Marshall's in Penang. Surprising right?

The place is SS15 is pretty small, thus if you are planning to come in a big group of 7 or more, I highly suggest you call in for reservations cause it can get pretty crowded during peak hours.

So when you get there, all you need to do is to look up and pick your burger from the menu on the boards. Everything you need to know, small burger to big burger to add ons and set meal, is all up there.

Numbering system for self-service incase they are short of staff that day.

Must try sauce - Homemade Tartar (Left) and Special Marshall Sauce (Right)

Identify burger meat by identifying the flags
pink = pork (160g of meat)
maroon = beef (180g of meat)
yellow = chicken (boneless thigh)
blue = fish (fish fillet)

Here's what I've tried...
The Fat Piglet + Set A (Fries and drink) RM19
Pork patty x1 and bacon x2

It is seriously AS GOOD AS IT LOOKS, or dare I say, even better. I can't help it, this is seriously the best pork burger I've ever had. The patty is extremely juicy and tender. It's so moist and flavourful. It's charred to perfection. And the bacon, oh the bacon, is literally the cheery on top. The burger is so good that I don't even need to dip it into any sauce. The fries is fresh, so good when you complement it with their homemade tartar sauce or marshall sauce.

The Bull + Set B (Onion Rings and drink) RM20
Beef patty x1 + bacon x1 + cheddar x2

The next best thing, is their beef burgers. They are equally as good as the pork patties. Thick patties but soft and tender to bite. However, I do feel that the beef patties are not as juicy as the pork patties. Still, Marshall's beef burger is definitely worth your every penny. Their onion rings are quite nice too, crispy shell and soft inside. Also, goes great with their homemade tartar sauce or marshall sauce.

Can you see how thick their patty is.

The Boar Ala carte RM21.50
Pork patty x2 + bacon x2 + cheddar x2
So freaking big :D

Custom burger
Chicken thigh x2 + beef patty x1 + cheddar x2
So here's the thing, I personally find their chicken burger is alright. It's nice and it's grilled and it's tender but really nothing to shout about.

Small Fry Ala Carte RM11.50
Fish Fillet x1 and cheddar x1
Again, nothing much to shout about. Definitely tastier than your mcd fish burger but also, of course pricier.

Overall, I suggest anyone and everyone to try their pork and beef burger. They are so worth your money. Their drinks selection is quite limited but they are planning to bring in more choices soon for both drinks and food. Looking through their FB page, it seems that they are bringing in Hot Wings soon, looks good, can't wait to try them. Students, you're the luckiest, 20% off when you flash your student card at SS15 or Uptown Marshall's, I'm so bloody jealous. Also, one of the day of the week is Marshall's Day, means awesome promotion. When? You'll have to figure it out yourself by stalking them on Facebook and Instagram!
