Shiseido MAQuillAGE Spring/Summer 2015 [Preview + Brief Review]


It's all about entering a new stage of life, the time where we girls learn how to be a lady. Feminine and elegant with a touch of sexiness. Innocent yet refined and mysteriously seductive. "Ladylike" beauty is the new mood for the fresh new MAQuillAGE. 

MAQuillAGE aims to bring fun and enjoyment to the makeup experience, to awaken the true beauty that lies within all women. With that, they introduced the Dramatic series - Dramatic Melting Rouge lipsticks, Dramatic Mood Veil, Dramatic Mood Potion, and limited edition True Eye Shadow. 



Shiseido MAQuillAGE Dramatic Mood Potion (EDP) - RM106 [The bottle in above picture]

This is an oil-based fragrance for body and hair designed to provide moisture for the skin and luster for the hair while exuding a poise fragrance of white floral and rose blend that depicts cleanliness and an elegant sweetness. Apply this luxurious thick oil on your wrist, décolleté and hair ends. 


MAQuillAGE Dramatic Mood Veil - RM141 and RM91 for refill

Probably my favourite item among all, this gorgeous mosaic cheek and face palette comes with 5 colours and 5 textures that is able to enhance the facial features and expressions. I personally think that both available colours - Coral Red (RD100) and Peach Pink (PK200) - are really suitable for Asian skin tones, either to give a really gentle natural rosiness or a gorgeous bright impression. 


I also got pretty intrigued with its specially designed dual-end brush and sponge. They say to dab the soft dome-shaped sponge over the areas you would like to focus and use the firm yet soft fibre brush to blend it out. This way, it's more precise yet gradational finish. 


Limited Edition MAQuillAGE True Eye Shadow - RM150

This ultra neutral palette shows off 5 colours that accentuate the pupils. It claims to be able to increase the impression made by eyes by 110% because each shade serves a specific purpose (check it out as below). Overall, I still think this eyeshadow palette comes with a little to much mix of shimmery colours to my liking. 


MAQuillAGE Dramatic Melting Rouge - RM90 (I'm wearing this lipstick in picture above)

Now, with the main highlight of the launch, the lipstick that's packed with luxurious beauty oil. A pretty new invention in my vocabulary as 'beauty oil' in a lipstick is not quite something I heard before. It brings an excellent skincare benefits to the lips such as moisturising and repairs chappy lip lines. It gives a pretty, subtle glossy finish and all 10 shades are very professional and ladylike colours. Nothing too bright or too dark, very suitable for professional working ladies.

2014 has been a year of change. So many things had happened, big, small, good and bad, all I can say is that I am thankful. I also thank God for the unpleasant moments and experiences because they are priceless, a lesson learnt for me to prepare for my future self. Not only making me stronger and more mature, but it also taught me about humility and the gift of silence.

The Immense Pressure, The Exploitations, And The Gratifications Of A Malaysian Blogger
