#EatOoo With Garage51 x Mister Potato (Food Review) \\ #TehChamLee

I always appreciate a private food review session because my schedules have been off the hook recently, I'm back at a pretty busy season but I'm glad that things are actually moving forward in my life. A private food review doesn't mean that I have the whole place to myself, it's more of a review session with my husband, at our own timing and selecting our own food from the given choice, while the cafe or restaurant opens their business as usual.

Let's face it, Garage51 is not the most ideal place to eat because of its parking situation but if you are a Sunway or Monash student or you are working nearby, it's definitely a great place to have a good, fulfilling meal/coffee. Even for myself, while we were diligently rounding that area for parking on a Saturday late morning, I was already semi-frustrated. On top of that, upon reaching there, none of them knew that they where suppose to have a review session that day. Though, they (the waiters) were very polite and quickly contacted their management to get confirmation. I'm thankful for that, truly.

Since we were invited to try their new menu in collaboration with Mister Potato Sweet Potato Crisp, Dexter being Dexter wants everything on the menu, lols, but of course, we didn't order everything, it would be wasteful because we definitely can't finish everything. We chose Smoked Duck Burger with Mister Potato Sweet Potato Crisps (RM26), Chicken Breast Burger with Mister Potato Sweet Potato Crisps (RM23), and Garage x Mister Potato Pancake with Nutella (RM18) for this review.

We did a brief food review of this place in the beginning of this video, check it out below:

The first dish that came out was the Mister Potato Sweet Potato Crisps with Tomato Salsa and Garage Dip (RM13). We did not order this but the owner truly wanted us to try it and OMGOSH, IT'S SO YUMMY! Somehow, the pairing of the sweet potato crisps, tomato salsa, and the garage dip (white sauce that not in the pictures) just works. They make a really good combo and a great starter. The tomato salsa provided a really refreshing taste that even after we are done with our main course and dessert, we requested for a refill of the salsa so we can continue munching on this plate of goodness.

TBH, the Mister Potato Sweet Potato Crisps are actually pretty good on its own. I've tried other sweet potato chips but nothing like this and I truly like them and would actually buy them, maybe who knows, for my upcoming bridal shower, as part of my food for my guest. Then again, I would probably need to go ask Garage51 if I can buy their dip. I shall think about that later.

As for the mains, on the left, we have the Smoked Duck Burger with Mister Potato Sweet Potato Crisps (RM26), and on the right, we have the Chicken Breast Burger with Mister Potato Sweet Potato Crisps (RM23).

Let's talk about the Smoked Duck Burger first. It was quick hard to eat as a burger to be completely honest. It's sad because the smoked duck was cooked to perfection but it was soft enough for us to bite it as a burger. We ended up deconstructed the burger and ate the delicious charcoal buns and smoked duck separately. Additionally, we absolutely love the salmon-coloured sauce but we feel that it overpowered the smoked duck flavour. We would prefer if this dish came deconstructed with smoked duck by itself as the main food while having the charcoal buns, vegs, and sauce as sides and as choice if we want to eat them together. With the sauce as sides, we could have even use it as dippings for our crisps. It's a great dish overall, just preferred it deconstructed and not as a burger because the smoked duck still needed a knife to cut them into smaller pieces.

As for the Chicken Breast Burger, mother, it's FANTASTIC! The chicken was tender, the same sauce for the duck in fact was the one making this burger so good. We highly recommend trying this burger if you are planning to visit Garage51. Plus, I think the instead of the regular salty potato chips, this sweet potato crisps is actually a pretty good side dish twist for this dish.

How about the Garage x Mister Potato Pancake with Nutella? Well, it's okay. It's just the usual pancakes that they already have but with sweet potato crisps put into it which didn't really do much of a difference, just an added crunch to the whole dessert dish. With the whole nutella and ice cream situation you have there, it totally masked the flavour of the sweet potato crisps. Other than that, it's a yummy and fluffy pancake if you really want desserts or something sweet.

Still, no stopping him from cleaning the plate.

I think Garage51 did a good job incorporating the new Mister Potato Sweet Potato Crisps into their dishes, creating a whole new menu that I believe might be for a limited time only. Dex and I had a satisfying meal and a good time there as their waiters and staffs are great and always greet you with a smile. No doubt the parking is horrendous but we, TehChamLee do like their food!

Thanks Garage51 for the hospitality!
