Buka Puasa Bersama Cyberview Resort & Spa!


One of the perks of being in Malaysia is no doubt, the food variety. It gets better during Ramadan season with bazaars and buffets available throughout the nation. 


For Muslims, Ramadan is believed to be the holiest month of the year. It's the ninth month in the Islamic calendar. For an entire month, observant Muslims do not eat or drink during daylight hours as an act of worship. Fasting is one of the five pillars of Islam along with shahadah (declaration of faith), salat (five daily prayers), zakat (almsgiving), and hajj (pilgrimage to Mecca). 


As a Malaysian, I personally do enjoy Buka Puasa sessions with my Muslim friends because the food is always good! This time I had the opportunity to break Fast with my family at Cyberview Resort & Spa in Cyberjaya. The best part is, they reminded me of delicious home-cooked food that's prepared according to the traditional recipes. 



The buffet spread is set in the cozy restaurant of The Verandah, along with stalls outside cooking up scrumptious goodies featuring delicious authentic local and international favourites such as 'Warung Ikan Bakar', 'Kambing Panggang Golek', 'Warung Roti Mamak', Dim Sum, 'Warung Durian', and their specialty 'Warung Istimewa for Sup Tulang Merah dengan Roti Bakar' to name a few. 

From the buffet line, you can look forward to a variety of appetisers like Kerabu Taugeh dan Perut, Kerabu Makanan Laut, Acar Buah, Ulam Raja, Daun Gajus, Kacang Bendi Celor, Cekor, Sambal Belacan, and etc. Also, do check out some of the hot items including 'Rendang Rusa', 'Gulai Itik', 'Kerutub Ostrich', 'Kambing Masak Kuzi', 'Itik Panggang dengan sos kari', 'Asam Pedas Ikan Tenggiri', 'Daging Salai Masak Lemak Cili Api dan Rebung', and 'Bubur Lambuk' amongst others. 

To end my meal, I'm absolutely delighted to enjoy a wide selection of not only western desserts but also assorted traditional Kuih-Muih!

2014 has been a year of change. So many things had happened, big, small, good and bad, all I can say is that I am thankful.
