Almost EDIBLE Lipstick?! Antipodes Moisture Boost Natural Lipstick Review [+Video]

I recently received a few lipsticks from a brand called Antipodes, one of the trail-blazing organic skincare brands out there today. Their products mostly offers powerful antioxidant protection with scientifically validated anti-aging results.

Basically, they pride themselves for their great anti-aging skincare products. However, here, we'll find out if their lipsticks are any good. From their website, they have way more than just 3 colours. Thus, feel free to go check them out yourself if you are interested after reading this blog review.

These lipsticks are called the Antipodes Moisture Boost Natural Lipstick and they claim that it's so healthy that you can almost eat them. On the website, the product description for this lipstick CLEARLY STATES that IT'S EDIBLE! Because they are made out of natural ingredients.

Before we go more into my wordy review, do check out my video below first. :)

The key benefits stated on their website are healthy, edible, natural ingredients, moisturise lips deeply, nutrient-rich pure plant oils, and certified vegetarian.

If you are wondering, no, I did not purposely taste the lipstick. However, what I can say is that they are all pretty moisturising for a matte-ish looking lipstick. It has a mediocre lasting power, similar to most lipsticks in the world, and smell of almost nothing. No scent. Nada. They are not the creamiest lipstick in the world which makes it less smooth when you glide it on your lips but they are pretty comfortable once its on the lips.

I absolutely love their packaging. From the box to the lipstick tub, very chic.

The 3 shades I have are Golden Bay Nectar, Dusky Sound Pink, and Dragon Fruit Pink. Golden Bay Nectar is the least smooth to glide on the lips and I needed to layer it up a few times to get an opaque beautiful nude shade. Dusky Sound Pink and Dragon Fruit Pink on the other hand are smoother, easier to apply, and much more pigmented on the first swipe.

Each lipsticks are 4g in weight and cost RM125. I think if you are vegetarian or looking for something with natural ingredients yet comfortable on the lips, you can try this brand out.

Check them out at Antipodes Malaysia website. You may also purchase their items online, this month in particular, you'll be able to get 10% off regular items upon check out!
