Round two ~ Ting Ting ~ Day 3 of our Johor trip was at Desaru Beach Resort. Lovely place by the beach but cell and internet reception was terrible! No bars at all. It is really a retreat where you don't want anyone to contact you, a place to really unwind and relax and do nothing. :) I love that their rooms are all super-duper spacious and wooden floors because it's by the beach. Overall, this is not a place for you to come and do your work. When you are in Desaru, it is time for you to forget about work and just spend time with your love once or even yourself. Just relax, sit by the beach order some juice close your eyes and breath the fresh, fresh air. Bring some DVD if you feel like watching movie

Johor is coming up as most of you might know, the government is making Johor Bahru 'The State' to live in with Lego Land and many other stuff planned for the state. My friend, a journalist from The Expat magazine was sent a few places in Johor for an article piece. Me, were just there to accompany her journey. On our first day, we travelled 4 hours to Thistle Hotel in Johor Bahru. This tall beautiful building is so close to Singapore that you can see them from their Thistle Club Lounge. This well designed and architecture hotel made the place feels like a resort. Service was amazing and efficient, food was impeccable.
