“First Ever Social Media Olympics” in Malaysia. 



Youth nowadays are lack of participation in outdoor activities due to their addiction to social Media. Youngsters now spend an average of one hour and 50 minutes online and two hours 40minute in front of the television every day. Social network has made the life of people more interesting; its negative impact has created lack of participation among the youth in outdoor activities. Cyber-Relationship Addiction to social networking, chat rooms, and messaging to the point where virtual, online friends become more important than real-life relationships with family and friends.

CommFest 2012 idea is to combine sports and social media so that youth of today will come together and participate in an interactive environment. This is to encourage the participants to Log-Off from their virtual life of social media communication and walk into  CommFest2012 where social-media meet sports, which also will allow them to understand the importance to balance social media and sport for a healthier lifestyle.


CommFest 2012 will be having loads of exciting activities such as InstaClock, InstaRace, InstaCaps and InstaChallenge, all adapted from popular social websites and social programs

I believe it was early last year when a video of people cooking instant noodles and enjoying them by the Han River in Korea went viral. It was a super cool concept and I told myself if I had the chance to go around Seoul myself, experiencing ramyeon at Han River will definitely be on top of my list. Many months later, Dex and I had a trip to Seoul and did this together. While planning this trip, I was so focused on trying to find which Han River that has this special cooking machine. I thought it was only one particular place sell this but it's actually not. I believe by now, pretty much any park that's by the Han River allows you to have this experience as long as they have a convenient store. We've chosen to visit Yeouido Park by the Han River since it was one of the recommended place that my sis-in-law mentioned and she's not wrong, the park was beautiful. I personally do recommend this park too.

2014 has been a year of change. So many things had happened, big, small, good and bad, all I can say is that I am thankful. Or to be exact, I choose to be thankful because some things are out of our control.  I thank God for the great things that happened in my life, things such as getting a job that allows me to travel and experience different cultures, having the opportunity to do what I love which is writing and blogging, and to meet new people as well as reunited with friends that I've not seen for a really long time. I also thank God for the unpleasant moments and experiences because they are priceless, a lesson learnt for me to prepare for my future self. Not only making me stronger and more mature, but it also taught me about humility and the gift of silence.
