SAMYANG HAS A RANCH? 4 Things To Know Before Visiting Daegwallyeong In Winter \\ Must Visit In PyeongChang!

Image
This is Daegwallyeong Samyang Ranch, also known as Samyang Eco Green Campus. It's one of those places that I personally love visiting. I've always truly enjoy a good view from the top of a mountain, to be able to enjoy some of God's finest creations is a privilege that I usually take my time to indulge in. There are many Daegwallyeong Ranch in PyeongChang, Gangwon Province, and if you ask me, I'd would say that they all probably have a similar view from the top. Last year, I had the opportunity to visit the Daegwallyeong Skyranch, where we took a tractor up the mountain. The view was as pretty as the one from Samyang Ranch but it was much colder and windy, thus I didn't stay out for long. Daegwallyeong Ranches are definitely one place that I would recommend visiting if you like enjoying nice views and taking a long walk with nature. However, there are a few things I would recommend knowing before planning your trip there.

The Beauty Of Woljeongsa Temple & Its Surroundings [Goblin K-Drama Shooting Location]

Image
Guys, I almost cried when I found out that I've visited another Goblin K-drama shooting location. They didn't shoot in the temple but they shot at the trails outside the temple known as Fir Forest trails. Picture below is the entrance of the trail that Goblin K-drama was shot. Here's the prove:  Omgosh why didn't I do my research properly before my trip, I could have took a better picture that look much like the one in the drama. I saw the horn personally but I didn't really car much for it at that moment because the Fir Forest itself is truly wonderful.

Anmok Beach & Coffee Street - FINALLY BEEN HERE! But Is It Worth Visiting? \\ Where to go in Gangneung, Gangwon Province?

Image
Before I start babbling about how I finally made it here, let's take some time to appreciate my two adorable girlfriends who photobombed my pictures without me knowing until earlier today when I was editing these pictures. Omgosh guys, why y'all so kiut!  Speaking of cute, here's another adorbs picture of my other friend trying to chase those beach birds. Just lovely, always make my videos that much more entertaining.  Anyway, as the title states, I've finally visited Anmok Beach and Coffee Street! It was the one place where we didn't manage to visit last year but I'm glad it's part of our Snow Festival In March itinerary this year. It's actually much smaller place than what I had expected. A nice place but much smaller than what I had in mind, probably because there's a hype of this place as being one of the must visit places when in Gangneung, as it's also known as the city of 'Coffee Romance' by the KoreaTimes Onl

Jayeon Dakgalbi Restaurant \\ Where To Eat In Nami Island?

Image
Firstly, this shop is not in Nami Island itself. Jayeon Dakgalbi (자연숯불닭갈비) is located at the jetty when you buy tickets to take the ferry to the famous Nami Island. Apparently, the must eat at this Chuncheon area (since Nami Island is located here) is dakgalbi or spicy stir fried chicken in English.  There are loads of dakgalbi restaurant nearby the parking lot of the jetty and this is one of them that are pretty tasty with a nice view of the river.

I've Visited The Beautiful Haslla Art World Museum That I Don't Quite Understand \\ What To Do In Gangneung, Gangwon Province.

Image
Before I get all the hate comments, I have to admit that I'm not really an art person. I appreciate the existence of them but generally don't quite understand them and possibly never gonna go in any deeper when it comes to art appreciation because it's just not much my cup of tea at the moment. With that said, a lot of things in this museum I personally don't get it but Haslla Art World Museum has always been a place that I would love to visit when I first wrote about it last year because on the outside, they look super cool and it's located by the sea, the view must be great! The main entrance. Little did I know, it's one of the first few places in the itinerary when I was on media trip for the PyeongChang 2018 Paralympics, Snow Festival in March event recently. Yeay! Haslla Art World comprises of a museum, hotel, and a cafe. I've only toured the museum but I believe the cafe is open to public (I'm not quite sure) . If I'm not mistaken

Daegwallyeong Sky Ranch Pyeong Chang \\ Must Do In Gangwon Province!

Image
I really do like this place. It's unfortunate that it was crazy cold during winter and the snow was becoming ice, making it rather dangerous to walk on. I finally understood why you need proper snow/winter shoes for the season, it's not just because it looks cool but you'll really need it for functionality purposes. Sorry, a Malaysian girl like me who's pretty new at travelling is probably stating the obvious. I'm glad I actually bought a pair of good footwear just before the trip.  Daegwallyeing Sky Ranch was established in 1974 and currently, it's sized approximately 900 million square meters. There are a number of cows, sheeps, and other animals that are usually free to roam around this huge ranch. This place is well preserved and it also produces first-class milk as well as top quality Korean beef. Some activities such as feeding the ranch animals are family friendly. I highly suggest taking the tractor wagon up to the Observatory as the view is

Phoenix Park Ski Resort Hotel Review \\ Where To Stay In Gangwon Province?

Image
The Pheonix Park Ski Resort is pretty known around the world as it has been showcased in K-Dramas such as Autumn In My Heart as well as being a famous ski park for locals and international visitors. This place is also prepped to host a few sporting events for the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics.  Do like this video and subscribe to my YouTube Channel!

YongPyong Resort - Dragon Peak \\ Goblin K-Drama Shooting Location \\ What To Do In Gangwon Province?

Image
YongPyong Resort is the largest ski resort in South Korea and similarly to Phoenix Ski Park, this place will be hosting a few sporting events for the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics. But seriously, even if you don't ski, the Dragon Peak is one place you should really slot into your MUST VISIT list!

Saimdang K-Drama Shooting Location - Ojukheon & Seongyojang \\ What To Do In Gangwon Province?

Image
I have to admit, other than being in Winter and having the opportunity to visit Goblin's Shooting location , Ojukheon and Seongyojang were the other two places that I was quite stoked on visiting as back then, I was just starting on watching Saimdang K-Drama. There something about visiting the places you've watched on shows or movies, I quite like it. Plus, this place is filled with historical memoirs of famous Korean figures. Let's start!

Best Healthy HanJeongSik (Korean Set Meal) In Gangwon Province, Korea!

Image
On my second day of Gangwon-do, Korea trip, I had the opportunity to try out one of the most authentic Korean Set Meal called Hanjeongsik. This kind of spread is usually consumed by royalties in the old days where they have cold to hot dishes served. Back in the days in Korea, there's actually a specific order when eating Hanjeongsik but these days, they'll usually just serve all at once. I prefer it this way too.  The other great part about having this meal is also the location of this place. The restaurant name SeoJiChoGaTeul, is little house located in Gangneung. Surrounding the house is a beautiful open area filled with trees, river, and a magnificient view of hills and mountains.

Sol Beach Hotel & Resort in Gangwon Review

Image
The first and second night in Gangwon, Korea, I was pampered with such a luxurious hotel. The SamCheok Sol Beach Hotel and Resort is huge and really well maintained. It's unfortunate that I didn't have the time to spend a day chilling around the hotel, that would have been amazing because they have so many areas that you can walk around and enjoy the view of the ocean. I don't have the pictures but it's in my video, I do recommend visiting the Santorini park here during the day.  As for my hotel room, I was staying in a Superior Double room with a view facing the nearby beach that's unfortunately not connected to the hotel for safety purposes.

PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympic House \\ What To Do In Gangwon, Korea?

Image
If you don't already know, Korea's PyeongChang is hosting the next winter games that will be happening on the 9 to 25 February 2018. From my experience visiting some of the venue locations located in PyeongChang and Gangneung, I have to say they are doing a pretty good job prepping for the winter games next year. The progress is astounding.  I know, you'll probably be thinking that Gangwon has so much more to offer than this place. I don't doubt that but personally, I still do recommend visiting this place even if you could care less about the up and coming winter olympics because there's more to it than just providing you information about the winter games.
