HEUN KEE - BEST CLAYPOT CHICKEN RICE IN KL?

Image
I was craving for a good claypot chicken rice for a while now and thankfully, we were introduced to one that's located in KL. Usually, Dex and I will never drive all the way to KL just for food but since we were already in KL for other reason, why not. Apparently this place is quite famous, you can find many reviews just by googling Heun Kee Claypot Chicken Rice. Additionally, it can be found in Waze, directions shouldn't be a problem. Parking might a problem, they have limited parking spot that's located at the left of the shop when you exit the restaurant, thus if possible, take a Grab or carpool.

RedTail By Zouk: A Spacious, Breathable Game Bar

Image
I'm for real. This is not clickbait. For once, I found a game bar that I don't feel confined and smoky. The best part of it all was to walk out without smelly like smoke from head to toe! RedTail Bar by Zouk opened at Resorts World Genting earlier this year and it's known to be a significantly exciting addition to the vibrant nightlife scene of Genting where the chic and sophisticated spends their leisure hours. Offering the perfect setting for pre-club drinks and group celebration with light finger food, you could enjoy a variety of games like Xbox E-Games, Beer Pong, Shots & Ladder, Battle Shots, Giant Pong, darts, and pool. Well, that night I only noticed the obvious three games, beer pong, giant pong, and pool. Watch our vlog to see more of the RedTail Bar by Zouk! Do like this video and subscribe to our channel!

Food Bar - BUFFET Breakfast, Lunch, or Tea For RM15 Or Less!

Image
I know this is concept is kind of crazy but I saw this on Facebook one day and can't help it but to bring Dexter here to try their food out. Plus, the place looks amazing, girls will love to come here and snap a few pictures for their instagram, I know I did.  (Current) Food Bar - Fashion Library Buffet Price:  Breakfast (8am-10.45am) - RM7 Lunch (12pm-2.45pm) - RM15 Tea Time (3pm-6pm) - RM10 Food Bar - Fashion Library is a Community Dining restaurant with a Honour System concept. Which means that they do not have someone standing at the cashier collecting payment from you. You pay by dropping your cash into a huge jar in the center of the room, get a table, and enjoy your buffet meal. I would assume that if you choose to support them and want to pay more, you can definitely do so. If you pay less  (I personally don't recommend. Please la, don't be so cheapskate, it's already very cheap d), you could possibly still get away with it.

Does Crispy Chicken With Rendang Works?

Image
I'm sure by now you've heard much about the whole "Cripsy" chicken rendang and MasterChef UK issue happened recently. Basically, a judge from the popular cooking competition series say that the chicken rendang of a contestant is not crispy and kicked her out from the competition. We, as Malaysians, love rendang, especially our mom's chicken rendang. So we thought, why not try it out? xo,  Twitter  |  Bloglovin  |  Instagram

Jayeon Dakgalbi Restaurant \\ Where To Eat In Nami Island?

Image
Firstly, this shop is not in Nami Island itself. Jayeon Dakgalbi (자연숯불닭갈비) is located at the jetty when you buy tickets to take the ferry to the famous Nami Island. Apparently, the must eat at this Chuncheon area (since Nami Island is located here) is dakgalbi or spicy stir fried chicken in English.  There are loads of dakgalbi restaurant nearby the parking lot of the jetty and this is one of them that are pretty tasty with a nice view of the river.

Food Trucks & FREE FLOW DURIAN When Ramadan With PJ Hilton!

Image
Is it Ramadan soon already?! Some of my CNY cookies are still in their packaging, clearly we are so not ready for all the glorious rendang, satay, ketupat, and serunding that are coming our way.  We were invited to enjoy a "little" makan session with Hilton Petaling Jaya recently and we had such a wonderful night since as Malaysians, we do love some Malay food and of course, DURIAN! That was one King of Fruit that we did not expect to find at the buffet.  Before I go on, watch the video below for a sneak peek of what Hilton PJ has to offer for this year's Ramadan! Best Reasonable Bibimbap In Seoul! \\ Where To Eat When In Seoul?

Image
Seriously everybody, this has to be one of the best bibimbap that we have ever eaten so far. We stumbled upon this place by accident after finding out that the restaurant that we wanted to go to were closed for the holidays. So we just walked around Ewha University Shopping Street and see what's there to fill our hungry stomachs. Apparently, Yookssam NaengMyeon have a few outlets around Seoul, you can find them in popular places such as Myeongdong, Gangnam, and Hongdae. The shop that we ate at is located near Ewha University and just a few stores away from the popular Mister Bossam restaurant. Directions is provided at the end of the blog.

This Restaurant Lets You Cook Your Food In Hot Spring Water! \\ Onsen Noodle House Review!

Image
While I had a family trip in Ipoh, we've decided to visit Lost World Of Tambun (LWOT) since my family have not been there. I'm so grateful that the LWOT team is able to host us during our visit, they have been amazing as always. Since we were only in Ipoh for one night, we could only spend the evening there. So we reached LWOT just in time for the night entrance at around 5.30/6pm. Unfortunately for us, it started to drizzle. Thus, the kids could only play in the hot springs for a little while before we had to take cover. We moved to a somewhat hidden restaurant that seemed to have less people. It was the perfect hiding spot, away from the crowd. It's a Japanese inspired restaurant call Onsen Noodle House located behind the hot spring and spa area. Before I give my thoughts on that, check out my video for an overview of what we did at Lost World Of Tambun!  Do like this video and subscribe to TehChamLee's channel!

Must Try Jjimdak In Korea! \\ What To Eat In Seoul?

Image
We were introduced to Jjimdak by our lovely sister-in-law before we left for Korea. She said this is one dish that we should try while visiting Seoul. We didn't really put much thought of it but somehow ended up stumbling upon this shop when we were pretty much clueless on what to eat for dinner after a long day at Lottle World. Jjimdak, also known as Korean Braised Chicken, is a pretty popular dish in Korea. The internet states that it's a specialty food of the inner rich village of Andong during the Joseon period, prepared and eaten on special occasions. Thus many would also call this as Andong-Jjimdak. It's basically chicken marinated in Ganjang (Korean soy sauce) and there are many recipes of this online if you would like to make it but you should really try it for yourself when in Korea. Watch our Seoul vlog to see more of BongChu Jjimdak! Do like this video and subscribe to TehChamLee on YouTube!

He Surprised Me! + Awesome 50% Discount Hotpot Place In PJ! \\ Vlog \\ #TehChamLee

Image
If we are craving for a little steamboat, we almost always go to this particular HotPot place in PJ. It's call the Red Inn Hot Pot located at Tropicana Avenue. The many times we go there, the food rarely disappoint. We brought a few of our friends there too and they love it too, mostly thanks to the 50% promotion that they have everyday between 4pm-6pm. For more info, here's Red Inn Hot Pot FB Page but it's all in Cina words la. Oh btw, it's non-halal.  Additionally, apparently 3rd November is a special day that I didn't know about but Dexter being the awesome husband, he surprised me with a scrumptious cake!  We are trying to do more vlogs, hopefully one day, we'll be able to get into the routine of attempting daily vlogging. It's gonna be a challenge but we are pretty excited about it :D Subscribe to us on YouTube for more vlogs! xo,  Twitter  |  Bloglovin  |  Instagram

Is Nitro Coffee Just A Hipster Hype? Or Is It Really Healthier?

Image
We first learnt about the existence of Nitro Cold Brew from one of our favourite local cafe nearby our place. Ever since then, the term Nitro Cold Brew Coffee kept popping up from different popular cafes and now, even Coffee Bean serves them. We love our nitro thanks to its silky smoothness that's almost similar to a cold draft beer, specifically, Guinness-like but without the alcohol, of course, we had to try them when we were invited to Coffee Bean's little gathering launching the new Coffee Bean's Nitro Cold Brew.  However, with all these buzz about nitro coffee lately, its only natural to question if it's just a temporary hipster hype or does it provide any sort of benefits like coffee do? Scroll on to read more or you can check out, how does Coffee Bean's Nitro Cold Brew look like, how I tapped my own cup of nitro, and find out what we won while we were at the event in the video below! Do We Really Need UberEATS?

Image
UberEats invited TehChamLee to try out their new food delivery app and also to learn more on how to use Uber's app to its maximum capacity. I think for me, I'm more interested in trying out the UberEats app even though it's not delivering on PJ yet but we all know it's definitely coming.  However, for riding UBER like a pro, most of the features are something that I either already know or they are a feature that I know I'll never use as they are more business related feature. However, this one feature peaked my interest.  Did you know that you can now "Request For A Guest"? It's going to be such a helpful feature especially for kids to request a ride for their parents or elder people who are not tech savvy. Above shows you how it works.  Now for the main highlight, check out our vlog to see what happened when we were at UBER's HQ. Do like this video and Subscribe to our Channel!

I've Tried Our LOCAL BRAND SILENT SLOW JUICER!

Image
Did you know that Malaysia has our own brand of slow juicer? Thanks to a friend, Carole, for introducing this to me. I managed to collaborate with them and try out their juicer.  It's call the Crego Silent Swirl Juicifier with the motto of 'The Ultimate Way Of Juicing". It looks pretty similar to a lot of other vertical slow juicer out in the market but pricing wise, truly, Crego is considered pretty reasonable (RM899) for people who are interested in a slow juicer for home/personal use.  I have an unboxing + assembly demo + first test + cleaning demo video for you all below:  Do Like the video and Subscribe to my YouTube Channel!

Back To School Games! \\ #TehChamLee

Image
In conjunction with Merdeka and the upcoming Malaysia Day, we've decided to do something fun with some of the people from our favourite cafe Droffee at Tropicana Avenue. They are as simple as Pen and Rubber. Have you played any of these games before? xo,  Twitter  |  Bloglovin  |  Instagram

My Staycation At The New Best Western Premier Ion Delemen Hotel \\ #TehChamLee

Image
Dex and I were invited for a 3 days 2 nights stay at the new Best Western Premier Ion Delemen Hotel located at Genting Highlands. We are actually pretty glad that there's a hotel that's not specifically located at the peak but at the same time, close enough to travel up and down from the peak. As much as Dex and I do enjoy the mountain weather of Genting Highlands, our issue has always been the peak being too crowded for us to stay while the ones below are a little too far from the peak because we'll still want to spend some of our time at SkyAvenue and other facilities at the peak. The Best Western Premier Hotel is just perfect. It's only 10 minutes drive from the peak and they even provide reliable free shuttle service for their guest. This hotel oozes a luxurious feel yet able to keep the rooms/suites feeling homey. You'll see the pictures of the rooms further down this blogpost. The food, overall, is pretty good. #ProbablyTheBest Brewery Tour Ever! \\ #TehChamLee

Image
Shout out to Carlsberg Malaysia for the amazing hospitality and tour! We had such a fun evening tasting unfiltered beers and also all of the different beverages you carry. After the tour, we ended the evening with a little catch up with some blogger friends, Aunty Lilly (http://followmetoeatla.blogspot.my/) and also Uncle Hong, over some amazing food, and games.  Carlsberg is running a campaign where you'll have a chance of wining a VIP Brewery Tour or even a trip to Denmark! For more information on Carlsberg Tour Campaign, visit  www.probablythebest.com.my . Check out the video as below. Also, we took this opportunity to test out the Olympus Tough TG-5 and the TG-Tracker (fish eye). We both quite fancy the Tracker but the TG-5 wasn't really up to our standards. The TG-5 is probably only best for people who are a huge hiking and mountain climbing person that requires the tough camera abilities.  Do like this video and subscribe to our channel!

Here's A Good Western Restaurant In Gangneung, Gangwon, Korea!

Image
If you are looking for a break from the usual Korean food while travelling around Gangwon Province, you can try this western place that serves your usual fish and chips, pizzas, fries and even craft beers!  Known as Budnamu Brewery, this restaurant is located in Gangneung city, served your favourites Italian-western food. Of course, when visiting Korea, the most important thing is to actually enjoy their local specialties but after a while, I'm sure you'll get bored of the delicious BBQs and the stews, and you'll want something familiar. So, it's always good to know a few western restaurants around.

Best Healthy HanJeongSik (Korean Set Meal) In Gangwon Province, Korea!

Image
On my second day of Gangwon-do, Korea trip, I had the opportunity to try out one of the most authentic Korean Set Meal called Hanjeongsik. This kind of spread is usually consumed by royalties in the old days where they have cold to hot dishes served. Back in the days in Korea, there's actually a specific order when eating Hanjeongsik but these days, they'll usually just serve all at once. I prefer it this way too.  The other great part about having this meal is also the location of this place. The restaurant name SeoJiChoGaTeul, is little house located in Gangneung. Surrounding the house is a beautiful open area filled with trees, river, and a magnificient view of hills and mountains.

MUST TRY Steamed Snow Crab! \\ Amazing Eateries In Gangwon, Korea.

Image
If there's a must eat in my what to eat in Gangwon, South Korea list, this would be on top. There's just something about the taste and the way they serve their snow crabs that are absolutely delightful. And just like most Korea dishes, it doesn't just end with the snow crabs.
