The Olive Tree Damask Rose Skincare Set Review

I've tried The Olive Tree soaps before and I trust this Natural and Organic brand that's easily and readily available in Malaysia. All their products do not contain Palm Oil, Parabens, Petroleum, Phthalates, Sulfates (SLS, SLES, etc), Synthetic colours and fragrances, as well as harmful chemicals and preservatives.

Because of my faith in this product, I was quite open to the idea of trying their skincare when the opportunity arise. My expectation of these products are especially high thanks to my wonderful experience with their bath products.

Additionally, I receive these in a travel set. I freaking love travel kits but I think they can do at least 10ml of serum and moisturiser instead of 5ml. It's great that they are in a pump bottle but darn 5ml is just way too small, I won't feel safe if I'm travelling for more than 5 days, worst when it's going to be winter.

As always, check out my video review below for more visuals.

The Olive Tree Damask Rose Floral Facial Cleanser (50ml)

Pumps out clear and lathers up just enough bubbles to help with cleaning my face. Because it doesn't foam up as much as other cleansers, it makes it extremely gentle to the skin. It cleans well without drying my skin out and it smells good. I give this cleanser a thumbs up.

The Olive Tree Damask Rose Floral Facial Toner (50ml)

At first I almost thought there were alcohol in them as the scent has a piercing aroma to it but it's actually not. After reading the ingredients, it seems like the sharp aroma is coming from Witch Hazel extract that's actually a really nice ingredient for a toner. It's definitely a super refreshing toner and helps hydrates that face too. I personally prefer to pour it on a cotton pad and wipe them gentle over my face. 100% would recommend this too.

The Olive Tree Damask Rose Floral Facial Serum (5ml)

Urgh, the one product that I don't enjoy from this skincare set. I like the packaging, with it coming in a pump and all but darn the product itself is sticky. My skin didn't feel comfortable with it plus the scent wasn't that great. Unless you enjoy that sticky feeling on your face, I suggest you skip this serum.

The Olive Tree Damask Rose Floral Facial Moisturiser (5ml)

Thanks to the sticky serum, it made the moisturiser felt terrible on top of it. This moisturiser on its own is decent. Not the best for dry skin but definitely quite nice for those who enjoys a lightweight moisturiser, especially when living in a hot and humid country like Malaysia. I would use this only as a day time moisturiser as on its own, it sits well under makeup. For night time, I just prefer something thicker and more luxurious. Overall, not a bad moisturiser.
