BeLushley

BeLushley is a social entrepreneurial venture focused on producing all-natural lip balm product with the intention of empowering the community of single mothers by providing them with livelihood skills.


Engaging women from the small town of Sitiawan, Perak, they found a growing issue of single parenthood in the area, which mostly affects the mothers. These women, who are part of a newly-formed community called 'Kakakhood', obliged to render their services in creating the product to generate additional income while allowing them flexibility to care for their children.


This is a project done by 4 Taylor's University students for  Digi’s Challenge for Change. 
 

So far they produced 2 flavours....

 

Ingredients:

Beeswax

Refined Soya Bean Oil

All Natural Flavoured Essential Oil

 

Orange Zest

• Candy orange smell, like literally you feel like you are eating candy but is tasteless.
• Reminds me of my first lipbalm, smells exactly the same except that this is pure colourless and glitter free. 
• It's very thick in consistency, it glides on easily but not as easy as petroleum jelly because this is beeswax. 
• Very moisturising, good for cold environment and dry.
• Doesn't make you lips looks glossy, it is purely for moisture purposes.  Unisex.

Mint Sprig

• Smell just like Wrigley Double Mint Gum! Tasteless.

 

• Not minty at all, just smells minty. No cooling sensation like how some others do.
• It's very thick in consistency, it glides on easily but not as easy as petroleum jelly because this is beeswax. 
• Very moisturising, good for cold environment and dry.
• Doesn't make you lips looks glossy, it is purely for moisture purposes. Unisex.
