Can I know more on what happened? Did she say why?? Pls let us know. :)
My friends and I have all faced this last-minute cancellation before. Each time, these CL wait til it's just two months before the expected due date (when they know you are desperate) and then they give excuses like sprained ankle la, grandson sick la, husband not well etc)
What made me more upset was because I checked with her many times to make sure she won't FFK and she charged a very high rate compared to other CL, so I trusted that she wouldn't do such a thing.

When I called her she straightaway knew it was from your blog, so am guessing she got quite a lots of business from here. Not blaming you as you wouldn't have known.
Am just upset coz I now only have 2 months left to get another CL and mostly are already booked! ;-/
