Tiga remaja perempuan maut nahas

SHAH ALAM: Tiga remaja perempuan yang bersahabat baik sejak di sekolah menengah mati dalam kemalangan jalan raya berhampiran Plaza Tol Batu Tiga, di sini selepas kereta yang dipandu seorang rakan lelaki mereka terbabas awal pagi semalam.
Remaja berusia 19 tahun itu dipercayai dalam perjalanan dari Klang ke Kuala Lumpur apabila kereta Proton Iswara Aeroback yang dipandu Jagdeet Singh, 19, hilang kawalan dan terbabas sebelum terbalik di Kilometer 15.7, Lebuh Raya Persekutuan, selepas kereta terlanggar pembahagi jalan.Ketua Polis Trafik Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah Shah Alam, Deputi Superintendan Norhalid Kimi, berkata S Koshela Vani, M Easwari, dan Rashween Sonia Kaur mati di tempat kejadian.“Pemandu yang cedera parah dan dipercayai patah kaki dirawat di Pusat Perubatan Sunway manakala mayat tiga lagi rakannya dibawa ke Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (HTAR), Klang untuk bedah siasat,” katanya.Sementara itu, bapa Easwari, M Mahalingam, 57, yang ditemui di Rumah Mayat HTAR, berkata anaknya baru selesai mengikuti kursus asas pengurusan di Universiti Industri Selangor (Unisel) dan sedang memohon meneruskan pelajaran ke peringkat sarjana muda dalam bidang kewangan di Universiti Multimedia di Cyberjaya.“Anak saya sepatutnya menghantar dokumen permohonan kemasukan Khamis ini. Semalam dia keluar rumah jam 9 malam dan hanya memberitahu mahu keluar bersama rakan-rakannya,” katanya.Bapa Rashween Sonia, yang tidak mahu dikenali, berkata remaja itu adalah anak perempuan tunggalnya dan kali terakhir berjumpa dengannya tiga bulan lalu kerana beliau bekerja di luar Klang.Ahli keluarga Koshela Vani, bagaimanapun, enggan ditemui kerana masih bersedih dengan kejadian itu.

Three students killed in crash


SHAH ALAM: A birthday party ended in tragedy when three college students were killed in a road accident along the Federal Highway, near the Batu Tiga toll plaza, early yesterday.
The victims were identified as S. Koshela Vani, M. Easwari and Rashween Sonia Kaur, all 19.
A Shah Alam traffic police spokesman said the male driver of the car was seriously injured in the accident at 3am.
He said the driver was believed to have lost control of the vehicle which skidded and crashed into the road divider, killing all three girls on the spot.
The college students were returning home to Bandar Sunway after attending a birthday party for one of them in Klang.
Firemen in two fire engines from Shah Alam and Subang Jaya extricated the bodies from the wreckage.
The bodies were sent to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Klang for a post-mortem.
The car driver who was first treated at the hospital was later transferred to a private hospital in Subang Jaya.
