HEUN KEE - BEST CLAYPOT CHICKEN RICE IN KL?

Image
I was craving for a good claypot chicken rice for a while now and thankfully, we were introduced to one that's located in KL. Usually, Dex and I will never drive all the way to KL just for food but since we were already in KL for other reason, why not. Apparently this place is quite famous, you can find many reviews just by googling Heun Kee Claypot Chicken Rice. Additionally, it can be found in Waze, directions shouldn't be a problem. Parking might a problem, they have limited parking spot that's located at the left of the shop when you exit the restaurant, thus if possible, take a Grab or carpool.

Rajawali: The Best Ramadan Buffet Ever!

Image
Dex and I, we love our Ramadan food. It's one of the few things we look forward to every year. One of the blessings being in Malaysia is that we can enjoy some of the best Ramadan buffet and among all the ones we have tried, our hearts will always return to Awana's Rajawali Ramadan Buffet. We are glad that we got the opportunity to enjoy them this year when we were invited for a media trip with Resorts World Genting. Rajawali was the main reason why we said yes and took a weekend trip up, we just couldn't miss this opportunity. Check out our vlog to see more of Rajawali Ramadan Buffet. RedTail By Zouk: A Spacious, Breathable Game Bar

Image
I'm for real. This is not clickbait. For once, I found a game bar that I don't feel confined and smoky. The best part of it all was to walk out without smelly like smoke from head to toe! RedTail Bar by Zouk opened at Resorts World Genting earlier this year and it's known to be a significantly exciting addition to the vibrant nightlife scene of Genting where the chic and sophisticated spends their leisure hours. Offering the perfect setting for pre-club drinks and group celebration with light finger food, you could enjoy a variety of games like Xbox E-Games, Beer Pong, Shots & Ladder, Battle Shots, Giant Pong, darts, and pool. Well, that night I only noticed the obvious three games, beer pong, giant pong, and pool. Watch our vlog to see more of the RedTail Bar by Zouk! Do like this video and subscribe to our channel!

Food Bar - BUFFET Breakfast, Lunch, or Tea For RM15 Or Less!

Image
I know this is concept is kind of crazy but I saw this on Facebook one day and can't help it but to bring Dexter here to try their food out. Plus, the place looks amazing, girls will love to come here and snap a few pictures for their instagram, I know I did.  (Current) Food Bar - Fashion Library Buffet Price:  Breakfast (8am-10.45am) - RM7 Lunch (12pm-2.45pm) - RM15 Tea Time (3pm-6pm) - RM10 Food Bar - Fashion Library is a Community Dining restaurant with a Honour System concept. Which means that they do not have someone standing at the cashier collecting payment from you. You pay by dropping your cash into a huge jar in the center of the room, get a table, and enjoy your buffet meal. I would assume that if you choose to support them and want to pay more, you can definitely do so. If you pay less  (I personally don't recommend. Please la, don't be so cheapskate, it's already very cheap d), you could possibly still get away with it.

Jayeon Dakgalbi Restaurant \\ Where To Eat In Nami Island?

Image
Firstly, this shop is not in Nami Island itself. Jayeon Dakgalbi (자연숯불닭갈비) is located at the jetty when you buy tickets to take the ferry to the famous Nami Island. Apparently, the must eat at this Chuncheon area (since Nami Island is located here) is dakgalbi or spicy stir fried chicken in English.  There are loads of dakgalbi restaurant nearby the parking lot of the jetty and this is one of them that are pretty tasty with a nice view of the river.

Food Trucks & FREE FLOW DURIAN When Ramadan With PJ Hilton!

Image
Is it Ramadan soon already?! Some of my CNY cookies are still in their packaging, clearly we are so not ready for all the glorious rendang, satay, ketupat, and serunding that are coming our way.  We were invited to enjoy a "little" makan session with Hilton Petaling Jaya recently and we had such a wonderful night since as Malaysians, we do love some Malay food and of course, DURIAN! That was one King of Fruit that we did not expect to find at the buffet.  Before I go on, watch the video below for a sneak peek of what Hilton PJ has to offer for this year's Ramadan! This Restaurant Lets You Cook Your Food In Hot Spring Water! \\ Onsen Noodle House Review!

Image
While I had a family trip in Ipoh, we've decided to visit Lost World Of Tambun (LWOT) since my family have not been there. I'm so grateful that the LWOT team is able to host us during our visit, they have been amazing as always. Since we were only in Ipoh for one night, we could only spend the evening there. So we reached LWOT just in time for the night entrance at around 5.30/6pm. Unfortunately for us, it started to drizzle. Thus, the kids could only play in the hot springs for a little while before we had to take cover. We moved to a somewhat hidden restaurant that seemed to have less people. It was the perfect hiding spot, away from the crowd. It's a Japanese inspired restaurant call Onsen Noodle House located behind the hot spring and spa area. Before I give my thoughts on that, check out my video for an overview of what we did at Lost World Of Tambun!  Do like this video and subscribe to TehChamLee's channel!

Must Try Jjimdak In Korea! \\ What To Eat In Seoul?

Image
We were introduced to Jjimdak by our lovely sister-in-law before we left for Korea. She said this is one dish that we should try while visiting Seoul. We didn't really put much thought of it but somehow ended up stumbling upon this shop when we were pretty much clueless on what to eat for dinner after a long day at Lottle World. Jjimdak, also known as Korean Braised Chicken, is a pretty popular dish in Korea. The internet states that it's a specialty food of the inner rich village of Andong during the Joseon period, prepared and eaten on special occasions. Thus many would also call this as Andong-Jjimdak. It's basically chicken marinated in Ganjang (Korean soy sauce) and there are many recipes of this online if you would like to make it but you should really try it for yourself when in Korea. Watch our Seoul vlog to see more of BongChu Jjimdak! Do like this video and subscribe to TehChamLee on YouTube!

Hugo's In The Sky By Best Western Premier Ion Delemen Hotel [Food Review]

Image
Dex and I were invited for a media trip to a new hotel in Genting Highlands last week and we were thrilled because we were glad that the group of media were with people that we know. We stayed at the Best Western Premier Ion Delemen Hotel for 3 days 2 nights and it was quite a fun yet peaceful trip because the hotel was very much less crowded and rowdy as compared to staying in the resorts at the peak. The best part is that it's only 10 minutes drive from the peak, thus, even if we really do want to enjoy the new SkyAvenue mall or the casino, it's still very convenient. Overall, I'm pretty happy with my stay at the Best Western Premier Hotel but I'll leave my hotel review for another blogpost. I specifically want to highlight Hugo's In The Sky, a bar and restaurant within the hotel. We had a our final night dinner at this restaurant and chilled at the bar area after our meal. Personally, I absolutely love this bar and restaurant as it has such a beautiful vi...

#EatOoo With Garage51 x Mister Potato (Food Review) \\ #TehChamLee

Image
I always appreciate a private food review session because my schedules have been off the hook recently, I'm back at a pretty busy season but I'm glad that things are actually moving forward in my life. A private food review doesn't mean that I have the whole place to myself, it's more of a review session with my husband, at our own timing and selecting our own food from the given choice, while the cafe or restaurant opens their business as usual.  Let's face it, Garage51 is not the most ideal place to eat because of its parking situation but if you are a Sunway or Monash student or you are working nearby, it's definitely a great place to have a good, fulfilling meal/coffee. Even for myself, while we were diligently rounding that area for parking on a Saturday late morning, I was already semi-frustrated. On top of that, upon reaching there, none of them knew that they where suppose to have a review session that day. Though, they (the waiters) were very p...

Malacca Trippin! \\ Part 2 \\ Travel \\ #TehChamLee

Image
Finally, here's the part two of the Malacca trip we took two months back! We tried a hidden cafe, The Daily Fix, and visited the A'Famosa Freeport for some shopping.  Hope you all enjoyed the video!    xo,  Twitter  |  Bloglovin  |  Instagram

Far East Cafe, Jonker Street Malacca \\ Food Review \\ #TehChamLee #EatOoo

Image
While we were in Malacca, we decided to try a restaurant that's pretty empty and not very hyped online for lunch. Mainly because everywhere else that are popular tourist spots are full. So why not.  Far East Cafe serves mostly Nyonya food, they are Malacca's specialty, it's only right to try some when you are there. Just google Nyonya culture and you'll be able to find out more about the history of how the Nyonya culture came about as it's actually pretty interesting. Who knew intercultural marriage could produce such amazing dishes!  Hope you enjoy the video!  Don’t forget to Like this Video and Subscribe to our channel to see more of us! #EatOoo At A'Roma Dinings \\ Food Review

Image
We were invited by A'Roma Dinings two weeks back to try out their lunch menu. Usually, we'll pass on food reviews because I'm still pretty busy with my thesis and we are kind of picky with food reviews because we stay  far away from most restaurants, but since we get to do this on our own timing and it's been a while since we had a proper date-day, why not.  To be honest, we are glad we did tried out this new place because their pastas are amazing! I would visit this place again just for their pastas. Before getting into the review, if you are lazy to read, #TehChamLee came up with a new video series call #EatOoo, where we'll do food reviews on YouTube. Pretty much, it's just us, sitting in front of the camera, speaking our minds out about the food we're tasting. Do check it out! :D Do subcribe to our YouTube Channel to see more of us!

NYE Dinner At Signature, The Roof!

Image
I had the opportunity to review the dinner set for NYE at Signature The Roof at First Avenue Bandar Utama. Knowing myself, I usually don't do food review unless I have faith in their food. I knew the food at Signature The Roof is amazing, thus, I can't say no when I was approached. Plus, I kind of grabbed the opportunity to set a date night with my partner. It was time to treat my boyfriend to a great meal along with a beautiful view. In a gist, as expected, the food were delicious. To my surprise, the mains were in big portions and filling. Overall, the food are definitely worth bringing your love ones there for NYE dinner. It's RM190++ per pax with buffet assortment, including appetizer, turkey carving, fresh seafood, desserts, and one choice of main. Thus, what I had the other day was a 3 course meal, while the NYE dinner will be a buffet spread! Additionally, Stratosphere at The Roof, Asia's 1st grassed helipad bar, is having The Ultimate NYE Countdown, t...

We Are Young Adults, We Drink Water When We Gather & Why You Totally Should Too! [Spritzer Hot & Warm Mini Dispenser Giveaway!]

Image
Thank God for unimates! They are the ones that knows and accepts you for all your crap. Watching each other grow for that short 3-4 years was definitely an interesting journey for me. My life wouldn't be the same without the friends I had in my Foundation and Degree years, they just know how to brighten up a gloomy day! I couldn't believe that it's been 7 years since we knew each other! It's crazy how much "those were the days..." we now use everytime we catch up.  "Remember, we used to karaoke every week after class?" "I still remember we used to FIFA the whole night till morning and order the best burger nearby when we were hungry." "We once could stay up 24-h just to finish our assignments and still can go to class the next day. Ohmygosh, those were the days when we had the energy." Truly, it's so different now. As we grew older, of course, we are much wiser now ( hopefully ), we realised that we are re...

Buka Puasa Bersama Cyberview Resort & Spa!

Image
One of the perks of being in Malaysia is no doubt, the food variety. It gets better during Ramadan season with bazaars and buffets available throughout the nation.  For Muslims, Ramadan is believed to be the holiest month of the year. It's the ninth month in the Islamic calendar. For an entire month, observant Muslims do not eat or drink during daylight hours as an act of worship. Fasting is one of the five pillars of Islam along with shahadah (declaration of faith), salat (five daily prayers), zakat (almsgiving), and hajj (pilgrimage to Mecca).  As a Malaysian, I personally do enjoy Buka Puasa sessions with my Muslim friends because the food is always good! This time I had the opportunity to break Fast with my family at Cyberview Resort & Spa in Cyberjaya. The best part is, they reminded me of delicious home-cooked food that's prepared according to the traditional recipes.
