5 things you need to know before you buy contact lenses online.

Image
What will I do without you, MrLens . I wrote an article about "The Danger of Coloured Contact Lenses" last year for a magazine and while I was doing research for that particular piece, I've read and learnt so much about cheap lenses selling on facebook and random stores in malls that aren't reliable. Thanks to Japanese and Korean influences, wearing big-eyed coloured contact lenses has became a fad to mostly teens and young adults. There's nothing wrong about following trends but it has to be done right, especially when we are dealing with our eyes.  In this era, we buy almost everything online. Same goes to our contact lenses, it's very convenient to just order through the web and get it sent over to your doorstep. However, know that not all online contact lens sellers are created equal. Here're a few things you should keep in mind before you click check out from your inventory:

X-Men: Days of Future Past [Movie Review]

Image
Here's a movie review from an average girl's point of view... It's my habit to walk into the cinema hall without doing my research about the movie that I was about to watch. Although, this is the sequel of 2006's X-Men: The Last Stand and 2011's X-Men: First Class, you can still expect quite a bit of surprise. Fine, not so much from the story, it's all about the graphics and effects that will keep you in awe.

Breathe Cleaner Air with Ambi Pur & Febreze First Defense House Dust Reducer

Image
New innovation eliminates odours & reduces indoor allergens for a healthier home.  Fabric furnitures act as a reservoir for house dust and it's mostly being released into the air you breathe when you throw yourself onto the couch, bed, walking on carpet or even simply fluffing up the pillows. In Malaysia, the most common allergens in the air that we breathe at home are house dust mites and various animal dander that may trigger asthmatics symptoms in an allergic individual.  It's easy to wash dust from clothing but it's hard to tackle dust mites that becomes airborne in the home from fabric furnitures that you don't wash on a daily basis.

AsterSpring Celebrates 30 Years of Excellence in Skin Health Management

As a child, I suffered from eczema. My late grandma and my mom would tell me stories about how they bathed me in all types of liquid and apply tons and tons of cream due to the skin disease. Thank goodness my skin got better as I grew older.

Image
(Left to Right) Shannon, Suresh, Me Who am I kidding, it's summer all year long in Malaysia. Technically, we get to spent time lazing by the pool anytime we want but no, we hate the sun. In contrary, we do like ice cream or sorbets because they cools us from the heat. So here's the latest juicy scoop from Haagen-Dazs - the Mango and Raspberry flavor!

Mentholatum Water Lip Tinted Lipbalm [Review]

Image
You see nothing. Literally, invisible. Don't trust the packaging, there're no pigments in these new lipbalms. You may see the slightest hint of colour when you swatch it at the back of your hands but it's so light that you can't see anything on your lips.

Little Red Riding Hood in Lace

Image
Belmode.com This lace dress fits just perfectly on me and the bright red will complement any skin tones. It's super gorgeous and so easy to wear. Since it's a flowy A-line skirt, you don't have to worry about it showing your "not-so-flat tummy" during those feasting seasons. Plus, if you're lazy to shave your underarm, no worries, it's long sleeves, so no one is going to really pay attention at your underarms in a glance.

My Spring/Summer Makeup Look at Mary Quant Workshop

Image
It's a rare occasion for you to see my eyes filled with tons of colours. I was literally playing with colours and it didn't stop at eyeshadows, my lashes were painted too! Read on to find out more about my trip to Mary Quant's Workshop. Mary Quant is a UK brand name but made specifically in Japan. They do have a fashion line too but so far, we only have the makeup range with us.  Overall, their packaging is pretty simple black and white with a big daisy-looking logo embedded on every single thing. With so many products being laid out on the table, just like any other brand, there are a few hits and misses. My take, hits - their multi-coloured mascara is a must-try product and I like the idea of a fully customised colour palette. Misses - eyeshadows and blusher. I'll tell you more in a while.

Neutrogena HYDRO BOOST [Review]

Image
I've ever only tried Neutrogena's famous Ultra Sheer Dry Touch sunscreen and Deep Clean Blackhead daily scrub in my life. A few months back, I was introduced to a new product, Neutrogena HYDRO BOOST Gel SPF30 PA++ . Obviously, this comes under the HYDRO BOOST skincare series which I'm relatively new to.  Neutrogena was very generous to give us the whole set of HYDRO BOOST series which I knew that I can't use them all by myself, so I've actually giveaway some of them to my friends. Of course, since the gel is new, I have to keep that to myself for this review.  Anyway, I've only really started using the Neutrogena HYDRO BOOST Gel SPF30PA++ about two months back because it only started to get hot around here in February or March. Now, is just crazy sunny and I think I might just need to take my sunscreen up another notch.
